The SX40 HS is a 12.1 megapixel bridge camera with 35x ultra wide-angle zoom (24 - 840 mm) and fantastic lens shift image stabilisation that allows you to shoot handheld. The camera sports a Cannon DIGIC 5 processor, 1/2.3" CMOS sensor, 2.7" pop out LCD display, viewfinder, external flash hot shoe, orientation sensor and rechargeable Li-ion battery pack (370 shots approx.).
